How I got into murals!
When I was (approximately??) 13 ish my mom let me start painting on my bedroom walls (and then the ceiling) at her house. I covered it with random small works and doodles and huge butterflies on my ceiling.
When I was a teenager my dad remodeled my bedroom and let me start doing the same thing there, and I planned a somewhat more coherent wall painting.
Then I painted a picnic table for my mom in 2020
A ceiling tile I painting in my highschool art room.
My high school allowed senior students who committed to four whole years of art classes to paint murals around the school. The school specifically asked me to paint a mural right at the entrance, something to represent the school. I painted the scene of driving up to the school in the middle of the country, over the recognizable two hills.
(As u can tell it was 2020-2021)
(While I was working on this mural I had a teacher walk up and tell me I should secretly hide bigfoot in there. I did. Said teacher shall remain anonymous.)
Pardon the atrocious & unprofessional photography. I was 17.
In 2022 I started working at Pacha Soap Co. in the packaging department, and in 2023 I heard they wanted some murals. Although my experience with murals had been limited, I pitched myself and my painting skill to them. They promoted me to the resident mural painter and I painted over 20 murals there for them, for a year and a half.
